I've been thinking about the venue for 2010 and after thinking of various venues i thought that after the success of the 2008 C4C at Yateley Sandhurst it would be a good idea to do it again there.
I know they are money robbing bastards when it comes to the whole lake hire especially when its for charity but i for one and im sure many others would agree that they would be willing to pay that bit more to fish it.
Maybe up the entry fee? or ask for some donations? How about a few less teams than that year? Maybe start some Charity auctions of any old gear people dont want?
I know that i thoroughly enjoyed myself on that match and i blanked!!!!!
Im not too sure how it will work now though especially as now they have that Cemex membership thing at £35 a pop????

funny this should pop up now after talks with a couple of lads over the weekend, has someone got my phone bugged????
Ok then chaps and chapets!!
1) we need a venue!!!!!!!!!!
myself and kev are looking into a couple,
we are open to anywhere thats either cheap or free, i see a few would like sandhurst again but 2 years ago that £1000 so gonna be more now, might aswell just go to the pub have a laugh chuck some money in a pot and hand it in rather than giving robbing b******s like cemex another grand+ , especially when 2 weeks after our c4c event stoney and friends got the place for free and for longer so there lies my bug bare with that place all be it a great venue... not charitable at all !!!!!!
2) If we want to do a large event and make a load of cash we need teams, so out of interest, whos up for it, i recon the 1st bank holiday in may is best to plum for again, seems to be the same each year so no point in changing it, find out from who ever you know that carp fish's if they are up for it, if you use other forums get a link on there and see who up for it, mates in tackle shops ,pubs, local waters , the lot, the more people involved the more chance we have of spending such cash on a better venue but are still able to raise a good amount for charity..
3) Prizes... now i know everyone says its not the prizes its the taking part etc etc its for charity etc etc but we will as ususal have the tough job of getting prizes for the event, main placed prizes, raffle prizes, auction prizes, they all have to be gotten so if you /anyone can get on to their local tackle shops ,dealers, bait companies any companies, fisheries for permits etc etc we can auction anything, we sold off a hoover on the 1st c4c event , bondie did me and bam proud last year scrounged loads of stuff , so bondie get dialing again mate,
sponsors are rewarded with add space on this here great forum + the chance on a mag adverts if i can get the event into the mags again!!!!
so with all that in mind, get your thinkin caps on, get calling round your mates for teams, get calling shops, reps, bait places and dyson for pledges of prizes, some will say yes and forget so need reminding at least once a week until they give in and coff up but they will in the end
ok chaps over to you for feedback on this!!!!
cheers , "The CARP-IN-4-CANCER" crew.. _________________ CARP-IN-ON.COM HERE TO STAY !!!!
