Couldnt fish the past 2 weekends due to the supposedly "bad weather" so Sunday will be the first fishing trip out cant wait
Its only a 4 hour match but every second on the bank counts.
Gunna try a maggot clip for the first time as it scores well in the lake im going to. Would of won the match there a few weeks back but went arse over tip on the peg while playing a fish and the hook pulled!! so that upset me.

Anyway wish me good luck and ill let you no how i got on Smile

A bloke from the comp on Sunday fished it Friday and had a 22 out on mainline coconut pop-ups (he swears by them but they let him down Sunday haha), you see them jumping all over in he morning 5-8 (shall get there for 5.30) and the owner of the tackle shop said he did a night down there in September and had 17 in total ranging from 3-18lb (he had them on small pineapple dunbell bottoms with a small pva bag of them) seems like fruity baits are the way for them.
Ill have a snow man rig on the one rod (18mm pineapple bottom and a 14mm mainline milk toffee pop-up with a pva bag of chopped and hole pineapple boilies) and the other rod a 18mm pineapple boilie with a small bag of pineapples.

If none of this works then ill switch to the old faithful probiotics Smile

Not going to bother with baiting up as they are hardly fished for and i worry that by baiting up they will think something is up.
