7-8th July

24 hour charity match with all the kids that fish down my local Heriotts with an experienced angler from the synicate we fished.
1st fish that came was a 19.4 common caught on the baits i was using at the same time.
2nd fish fell to me at 8.2 on the same bait that the above was caught on, Probiotics The Red One 14mm topped of with one of Opus' baits; E=MC Squid
3rd fish came to 10.8 from another lad
Conditions got warm and by 9am they were in the top so i fell upon a way of casting a neat cylinder shaped bread hung over the edge of a weedy patch about a foot under the surface almost lost a reverse zig. unfortunately it hit the tiniest amount of weed and just bumped of that fish was a mirror of around 15lb, would have won me the match never the less i learned some new things and i tought my mentor a few things, been invited to go back in a few weeks and im jumping at the chance never the less it was a good night and i thoroughly enjoyed it, happy days.

9th August
18lb

17.1

9lb+

8lb+
Cant find picture, sorry.

14th-15th August

Went down the River Avon and did 19 hours.
3 rods positioned ready for a bite 1 infront at the bottom of the far margin shelf over particle with a Sonubaits s pellet fished over the top, 2nd rod 16mtrs right in between 2 trees again at the bottom of the far margin shelf fished critically balanced maize over particle and the 3rd rod fished in the margin of a patch of reeds with a bed of particle and Dr Bleeps bait with a critically balanced Doc's bait.
1st fish came around 11pm on the s pellet little 3lb bream rod back out on the spot and around 12.15 my middle rod had the same take as the left....BREAM! a little bigger but still a snotter! again at about 1.30 my rod went off again to yet another bream this time on the margin rod, Dr Bleeps bait. 3am comes around fast and i am again unhooking a slab of snot.
Walked down to my mates bivvy rolled a fag and sat there talking till about 5 when i decided to get back into the sack and just as i swung my legs onto the bed my left rod with the s pellet rips into life and by the sound of the run it aint a bream, after a short spirited fight i have a 10.2 river mirror on the mat i was chuffed to say the least

Sorry about the picture camera is a little crap to say the least lol
By no my stomach was walking to me and we set about breakfast. As both of us had fogotten a frying pan and oil we ended up cooking 8 sausages in a saucepan with cider to stop them sticking, quite nice actually lol.
7am comes quickly and im off bag to bed and around 9.30 im into yet another bream
Looks like s pellet is doing the trick down there.
Back of to the river next weekend for 48 hours i think i may have found my new water with relatively easy transport
