Just been looking at my local college night school / adult courses for an entry into electrician courses etc starting at the bottom and work my way up to the current 17th edition, i already know 99% of it but without the official ticket in stuffed for doing electical work on customers houses... so there i am looking for courses and come across the perfect one for me, 1 day a week, for a year , so i hit the FEES tab and get the low down on what ive got to pay...
get this....
UNDER 19YRS OLD, UNEMPLOYED ........ FREE. ..fair enough get lads back into work i think....
NON PERMANENT UK OR EU STUDENTS..... £400...
POOR SUCKERS LIKE ME ........£700....
HOW THE FECK IS THAT RIGHT, so lets get this right , ive worked all my life , lived in the uk all my life ,etc etc etc so when it comes to me wanting to better myself i have to pay through the nose and a higher price that some fecker who doesnt even live in this country ,hasnt lived here all their life, isnt even english, how is this fair , to say im a little pi$$ed off and feeling well and truelly ripped off arnt the words,
HOW TOTALLY FECKIN UNFAIR IS THIS?????? _________________ CARP-IN-ON.COM HERE TO STAY !!!!
It's always the same, if your employed or self employed you PAY!
Sit on your bum and its free!!
I've just offered work to two guys who turned it down because they will loose their job seekers allowance??? Whats it all about
You've got two choices, pay and get the certificate or go without a job and have it paid for? No choice

Great that is Paul id just complain you probably won't get anywhere with it.
Cliff people out of work the problem is now that because they get their rent & council tax &an allowance paid toward their gas &electric bills + there job seekers allowance .Unless the jobs wages is over £7.50 an hour its not financially viable for them to take the jobs.I'm not saying this right but's that's the facts the cost of living so high for rental of flats &houses for people.
Firms out there can't afford to pay the wages to make it viable to get them of benefits&back to work.
It's great problem i don't know how to solve it perhaps some system needs devising to make their money up fromwhat a firm can afford to pay&what the person on benefits needs to cover their outgoings Sorry Paul for hijacking your post if want make it as eparate post on the subject be free to do so. _________________ Cheers Larry

I can understand the money issue, don't get me wrong. Thing is, if they were 'up for work' and did a bit for a couple of months, they could end up with a full time job! They would also be earning money?
If they just don't want to loose their allowance then I'm not ever going to know whether they were capable??
Catch 22.
Sorry Paul, gone off your thread. (Just p****s me off).

totally understand how you feel ,
a few years ago my wife was seriously ill and i had to come out of work to care for her for a few months , i went to the social and other places to see if i could get help with my mortgage
i was basically told i couldnt get any help for 39 weeks and they would then help on the 40th week , believe it or not i was also told if i was a prisoner put on remand then my mortgage would be paid straightaway !
