Some of you may know that Joe plays rugby for Cambridge. Well in fact he made the Cambridge County Cup team.
He made the 22 player roster from 46 available players.
We had the qualifying games last weekend and Cambridge won all thier matches to advance to the final.
The weather was absolutly miserable with driving rain, strong winds and very very cold.
But the boys didn't care ... the groundsman did because one pitch was reduced to a muddy field ...
These photo's are from a kick off, Joe scooped the ball up and managed to twist and dodge his way through half of the other team before being tackled, but he got the ball away to a team mate and after a number of passes we scored a try.
You can see just how muddy the pitch got.
This was taken a few weeks ago, again the weather was miserable, this time it was colder, we had snow and sleet during the match. The photographer got this shot of Joe during the game. I have had it blown up and put on canvas as I think it is one of those special moments.
I like the sepia version, real old time rugby. Brilliant.
